Brent crude oil futures price hits a new high in nearly 4 ye
Beijing, April 30 (Xinhua) -- International crude oil futures prices rose sharply on April 30 due to ongoing tensions in the Middle East. London Brent crude oil futures for June delivery briefly broke through $126 per barrel during trading, reaching the highest level since June 2022.
Due to the stalled negotiations between the United States and Iran, the market is concerned about when the Strait of Hormuz will reopen and when the Iran conflict will end. On the 30th, the Brent crude oil futures price for June delivery rose by more than 6% during trading, reaching $126.1 per barrel. This is the first time since June 17, 2022 that Brent crude oil futures prices have surpassed the $120 per barrel mark.
Before the outbreak of the Iran conflict at the end of February, Brent crude oil futures prices were around $70 per barrel.
