Three mandatory national standards for photovoltaic energy c

The reporter learned from the National Standards Committee yesterday (4th) that three mandatory national standards for energy consumption and efficiency in the photovoltaic field will be officially implemented from January next year. The three standards will strictly control the entry of inefficient products into the market from the source, promote technological iteration and green upgrading of the photovoltaic industry.

In terms of energy consumption control in production enterprises, two mandatory national standards, "Energy Consumption Limits for Single Crystal Silicon Products" and "Energy Consumption Limits for Polycrystalline Silicon and Germanium Products", focus on the core raw materials of photovoltaic modules, unify the scope and calculation methods of energy consumption statistics. In terms of improving product energy efficiency, the mandatory national standard "Energy Efficiency Limit Values and Energy Efficiency Grades for Crystalline Silicon Photovoltaic Modules and Inverters" specifies energy efficiency grades for photovoltaic modules and inverters used in ground power stations, industrial and commercial, and household photovoltaic scenarios.

Xia Yujuan, a researcher at the Institute of Resources and Environment of China National Institute of Standardization, introduced:

Energy efficiency level one is the benchmark level in the industry, with the best performance and continuous leadership in technological upgrades;

Energy efficiency level two is an efficient product;

Energy efficiency level three is the minimum threshold for products to enter the market.

Products that do not meet the third level are strictly prohibited from production, import, and sale.

The release and implementation of three mandatory national standards in the field of photovoltaics will comprehensively strengthen the energy conservation and carbon reduction requirements of the entire photovoltaic industry chain, forcing inefficient and backward production capacity to exit in an orderly manner.

Xia Yujuan, a researcher at the Institute of Resources and Environment of China National Institute of Standardization: The implementation of standards quantifies the quality of products with unified standards, regulates market competition order, and promotes the industry to shift from internal competition to technological improvement and energy efficiency competition. The implementation of the standard is expected to bring a power generation gain of 180 billion kilowatt hours within 5 years, which has a positive effect on promoting the green transformation of energy.
