The number of packages is increasing and the speed is getting faster. The survey data released by the State Post Bureau shows that the public satisfaction score for express delivery services in 2025 is 85.0 points, an increase of 0.4 points compared to the same period last year. The industry scale is steadily increasing, the time required to break through the hundred billion mark is constantly shortening, the quality and efficiency of services are continuously improving, and various factors are efficiently circulated in production, distribution, circulation, consumption and other links, providing positive assistance for activating online consumption potential, expanding domestic demand growth space, and promoting economic quality and efficiency improvement.

 

How can the quality and efficiency of express delivery services be continuously improved? The answer can be found from three sub data points.

 

From the perspective of "full time limit", the speed of express delivery has improved. As a key indicator to ensure the quality of express delivery services, the full time limit of express delivery services refers to the time required for the package to be picked up, delivered, and delivered throughout the entire process. In 2025, the average time limit for express delivery services will be 51.22 hours, a decrease of 2.66 hours compared to the same period last year. The shortened deadline is due to the continuous strengthening of infrastructure investment and increased technological empowerment by express delivery companies. For example, devices such as drones, unmanned vehicles, and intelligent robotic dogs are deployed and operated in fields, mountainous islands, urban commercial districts, and high-altitude remote areas, continuously improving the efficiency of end of pipe delivery.

 

Looking at the express delivery service capability from the perspective of facility network. By 2025, a total of 515000 various types of business outlets will be established by enterprises in the entire industry, with a year-on-year increase of 2.8%; There are 430000 village level postal and logistics comprehensive service stations (village post stations) established nationwide, a year-on-year increase of 0.7%. Currently, China has built the world's largest and most beneficiary delivery network. The network accessibility is still continuously improving, and the facility network is constantly extending to counties and rural areas. Especially in border areas, facilities such as Aksu distribution center and Linzhi intelligent pre warehouse have been built and put into use, and the network layout is becoming more balanced and complete. Express deliveries are accelerating their journey across mountains and reaching households, providing a continuous source of momentum for the comprehensive revitalization of rural areas.

 

Judging the effectiveness of express delivery management from business revenue. In 2025, the proportion of express delivery revenue to the total industry revenue will be 83.2%, an increase of 0.3 percentage points from the previous year. Especially in the first five months of this year, the cumulative revenue of express delivery business reached 635.37 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.2%. The root cause is that 'anti involution' is taking effect. Since last year, China has been deeply cracking down on the "internal competition" in the industry, and many provinces have successively raised express delivery prices, steadily improving service quality. This year, the express delivery prices have steadily increased, releasing a long-term positive signal that the industry is gradually returning from price competition to value competition.
