The Opinion on Unleashing the Potential of Sports Consumption and Further Promoting the High Quality Development of the Sports Industry, previously issued by the General Office of the State Council, proposes that by 2030, the total scale of the sports industry will exceed 7 trillion yuan and play an important role in building a new development pattern. Sports are not just cheers and sweat on the field, but can also be a key force in driving domestic demand.
 
In recent years, under the strong guidance of policies, China's sports industry has maintained a strong growth trend. During the 14th Five Year Plan period, the average annual growth rate of the total scale of the sports industry exceeded 10%. Its value is far beyond the trillion yuan output value directly contributed, but also lies in its strong integration and penetration ability, which can effectively drive the deep integration and development of manufacturing, service, culture, tourism, health and other industries, give birth to new formats and models, and is of great significance for optimizing industrial structure and cultivating new economic growth points.
 
At present, China's sports industry is showing a clear spatial agglomeration trend, with each region relying on unique resources to form differentiated advantages. The total scale of industries in the Yangtze River Delta region accounts for over 40% of the national total, leading the country in market-oriented resource allocation; The Beijing Tianjin Hebei region is vigorously promoting the construction of the Beijing Zhangjiakou Sports, Culture and Tourism Belt with the help of the Winter Olympics heritage; The Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area seized the opportunity of hosting the 15th National Games and polished its "Sports Bay Area" business card. In the future, we should further encourage regional cooperation in organizing competitions as a link, create a number of distinctive regional brand events, promote cross regional flow of factors, form a new situation of complementary advantages and coordinated development, and inject new momentum into the high-quality development of the industry.
 
On the one hand, we will strengthen top-level design and scientific layout, and hold competitions at a high level, safely and orderly. Cultivate local independent brand characteristic events based on one's own reality, and improve the brand support system through image design that is both easy to understand and meaningful. Fully leverage modern information technology to promote the empowerment of sports events with digital technology. Strengthen the coordination and cooperation between sports event organization departments, transportation, public security and other departments, and improve the convenience and safety level of organizing events. Grasp the development trends of domestic and international sports events, and guide places with conditions to hold large-scale international events.
 
On the other hand, we will adhere to differentiated services and improve the level of urban infrastructure. Design differentiated events and services for different groups of people - provide a high-level competitive platform for professional athletes, create fun parent-child sports for family users, and launch fitness activities for the elderly. Optimize supporting facilities such as hotels, commercial districts, and transportation, activate existing resources such as catering, accommodation, and transportation routes, improve the utilization rate of existing facilities, meet the derived consumption needs of participants for catering, shopping, accommodation, etc., and make "going to one city for one competition" a consumption choice for more people.
