Introduce regulatory measures for the sale of edible agricul
Chongqing News (Reporter Liu Ming) On July 15th, the Chongqing Market Supervision Bureau held a press conference to interpret the newly issued "Notice on Strengthening the Management Responsibility of Market Operators and Standardizing the 'Seven Uniforms' of Edible Agricultural Product Sales Behavior". It is reported that the notice will be officially implemented from August 3rd this year.
The "Seven Unifications" clearly stipulate that market operators who fail to fulfill their main responsibility for food safety shall be investigated and punished; Market sales of edible agricultural products without qualified certificates and wholesale sellers who do not provide sales certificates shall be investigated simultaneously with market operators; If there are obvious illegal activities in the market, the market operators will be investigated synchronously; Wholesale markets that fail to conduct sampling inspections in accordance with regulations will be investigated and punished; The unqualified results of the random inspection shall be publicly announced at the business premises; Any illegal addition of non edible substances shall be transferred to the public security organs; All relevant information shall be included in the credit file and recorded in person.
According to Peng Chuan, Director of the Food Business Department of the Chongqing Market Supervision Bureau, Chongqing has continued to carry out special rectification of edible agricultural products and investigation of hidden dangers in aquatic products, but there are still many prominent problems. Some market operators and sellers have lax source control and inadequate implementation of their main responsibilities; The proportion of substandard edible agricultural products sold in the market is higher than that of other foods; The public has strong reactions towards excessive pesticide residues, "fresh food lamps", and unlicensed entry into the market. In order to further increase regulatory efforts and enhance regulatory efficiency, the Chongqing Market Supervision Bureau has formulated and issued the "Seven Unifications" based on existing laws and regulations, refining and clarifying specific measures such as assigning management responsibilities to "individuals", conducting regular self inspections of hidden dangers to "days", publicizing inspection results to "points", conducting "double checks on illegal activities", and ensuring credit records are accompanied by "lifelong". Through strict law enforcement, market operators are forced to manage effectively, and strict management promotes the implementation of seller responsibilities.
