Iran says Strait of Hormuz passage capacity has been restore
Tehran, July 9 (Xinhua) -- According to the Islamic Republic of Iran Radio and Television Station on the 9th, the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy issued a statement saying that Iran has gradually opened up the Strait of Hormuz in the past two weeks, and the current traffic capacity has been restored to about 50% of pre war levels.
The statement said that the Revolutionary Guard Navy is continuing to improve its ship capacity. Relevant vessels must comply with Iranian security regulations, pass through designated routes in Iran, and apply for permission from the Revolutionary Guard Navy.
The statement warns that foreign forces have no right to interfere in the affairs of the Strait of Hormuz. Several pre planned routes for US military vessels will face strong retaliation from Iran and will seriously interfere with the process of reopening the strait, endangering the interests of the countries using the strait.
